Worrying about someone doesn’t help them. Be an example. You’ll never get back the time you wasted feeding your worry. When you’re 85, you’ll kill for the moments you wasted worrying about someone else. It’s normal, though. We want the people we care about to be happy, healthy, and successful. But the best way to help them do that is to be happy, healthy, and successful ourselves. You can inspire them. Worrying will never help. Fernanda’s in Cuba!

We were having lunch at Cheesecake yesterday (you know I love to go there) when she got a text. She had applied to CubaOne (a nonprofit that sends Cuban Americans to Cuba on a free week-long trip) a while ago and wasn’t accepted. But someone dropped out last minute and she got selected to go. She’ll be in Pinar del Rio (where her family’s from) for half the time and Havana for the other half. I’m gonna miss her like a crazy person. But it couldn’t be a better time for her to take this trip. It’s free, she’s off …

Happy Finals Season!

Got so much to study, and I’ve done all kinds of stuff to avoid it. Food, dog videos, coffee. But it’ll get done. Because I’ve got my last test Tuesday, Civil Rights History, and my professor gave us the four prompts we’ll possibly be tested on. The final exam will be one of those essay questions, so I’ve got no excuse. But there are more dogs to follow on Instagram!
